Those who are employed in corporations, government, education or
healthcare are commonly provided with an ID card for identification
purposes. With today's security concerns, companies take specific
measures to protect their employees, visitors, virtual and physical
property as well as their future. ID cards provide a way to track
human activities as well as provide a sense of belonging and
security.
Often a company will choose an Evolis printer, a Zebra printer or
Fargo printer system. With the implementation of this system,
identification cards are made for each employee. Many times
employees are required to display their badges while on the
premises or when at a business event. Carrying around an ID card is
not an efficient way of getting work done in many organizations. An
id card holder is needed to secure and display the badge freeing up
the employee to do their day to day tasks.
Some id card holders provide a way to wear the ID. Other holders
provide a display option as well as providing security for embedded
information in the badge and easy access when needing the badge to
log in a computer or move from secured facility spaces to
another.
Some id card holders are customized based on the size of the
company, the branding required, the types of cards, the use of the
cards, and management decisions. Personalized ID card holders can
be made to specific specifications and can come in many shapes and
sizes.
A simple id card holder is the strap clip. These help hold ID cards
and ID card
holders in place. Strap clips are made with many materials, but
the most common is the vinyl strap clips. The vinyl is attached to
a metal clip that will attach to clothing, a lanyard or other item.
To code the card holders, some companies choose to get color-coded
clips. Reinforced clips are also available for organizations who
need them.
Lanyards are often used with badge holders. These neck cords are
made of many types of materials. The most common lanyard is a nylon
lanyard, although
many are made of plastic or even beads. Lanyards have different
ends that attach to the cord. Ends allow the holder or the card
itself to be attached. Many lanyards also have a breakaway
attachment. This clasp comes undone when stress is placed on the
cord. The clasp allows the cord to come off of the neck to keep
injury from occurring to the wearer.
Some companies attach their ID badge holders to badge reels. These
are often customized with the company logo and text to assist in
promotional branding. Reels can be color coded and come with
various size and shape options. Some companies prefer the heavy
duty badge reels for longer lasting attachments.
It is easy to find the badge holder and supplies that will work. By
visiting a badge holder supplier or an id card printer supplier
online, it is easy to view various popular badge holder and badge
accessory options that work for many situations.
