Optical glass is an invaluable tool used for many scientific and
medical purposes.
optical
glasses are of high-quality that are colorless and have
specified refractive properties. Such type of glass is most
commonly used in lenses and components of various optical
systems.
Another commonly used quality is advanced
optics like fiber optics. Advanced optics like fiber optics are
used for various purposes such as transmitting television, voice as
well as digital data signals by light waves over threads of glass
and plastic. Fiber optics holds a lot of advantages and
importance.
Audio optical cables are used in most audio devices and play a role
by moving audio information from unit to another. Since most audio
systems have optical cables, it is important to know how to remove
the cables in case you need to repair or replace them. The first
step you can follow in removing the optical cables from your audio
system would be to turn around the first device from which you
intend to disconnect the optical cable. This will help you gain
better access to the cable.
You should then try locating the optical cable that you’re
trying to remove. It is important that you remove the correct cable
if there is more than one optical cable plugged in; otherwise there
is a possibility that you may disconnect a different device.
Thirdly, try gripping the head of the plug while gently pulling it
away from the port. Do this until the head of the plug comes out.
If it appears to be firmly attached, the possibility would be that
the plug may have clips holding it in. If so, you should squeeze
the sides of the plug and try pulling it again without too much
force.
Once you’ve pulled the head of the plug out, carefully roll
the cable so that you find the other end of the port it is plugged
into. You should be gentle while doing so and pulling the cable as
you roll it could knock down the second device. Finally, remove the
optical cable from the ports on the second device by once again
turning it. You can then apply the same method used for the other
end of the cable.
